Summary:
The increasing demand for high quality batteries require the development of highly efficient and fast processing tools – like LASER – for a faster and greener battery manufacturing process.
To develop these laser-based processes, Fraunhofer ILT has set up a modular research platform. Different laser-processing tools can be implemented into a continuous battery electrode production line to investigate the different processing steps and their interaction.
